The Small Retailers Coalition is a national trade association with over 200 members from across the U.S., representing the interests of thousands of small, independent petroleum retailers and convenience stores. Small retailers make up over half of the retail fuel business in the U.S. today and this coalition is dedicated to combating an issue that threatens the future viability of our businesses – the uneven playing field created by the Renewable Fuel Standard.
Chairman, Small Retailers Coalition
Mr. Douglass is the chairman of the Small Retailers Coalition. He is also the founder and chairman of Douglass Distributing, a Sherman, Texas company that has owned and operated retail stores and fuel distribution locations outside the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area for over 35 years. The company currently operates 22 convenience stores and supplies motor fuels to 177 independent retailers. Mr. Douglass has served as chairman of the National Association of Convenience Stores and of the Motor Fuel Institute.
